Fr. Scott has been the pastor of St. Joseph is Shawnee since the summer of 2018. He was the associate at St. Joseph from 2010 to 2013. Between his two stints at St. Joseph, he was the vocation director for the Archdiocese and lived for some time at both Holy Trinity in Lenexa and St. Lawrence in Lawrence. He is currently the Archdiocesan Co-director for Seminarians and the Chaplain for the Archdiocesan Catholic Deaf Community.
Fr. Scott was trained at Mundelein Seminary in Chicago. Before that he worked for four years as a structural engineer in Lenexa. He has degrees in Architectural Engineering and Architecture from the University of Kansas. Originally, he was born and raised in St. Louis, MO as the youngest of seven boys and one girl.
He loves being a priest. He also loves being at St. Joseph, especially since St. Joseph has a wonderful school. He is a product of 18 years of Catholic education and believes it is an important part of the mission of the Church to train our young people to be well-educated disciples of Jesus.
