Education Philosophy
I have always had such an excitement for learning, and I try to share that excitement with the students I teach. I think that having a love for the learning experience is what helps students grow academically, and I try to model the enthusiasm in the subjects I teach.
Why I love teaching in a Catholic School
I love that I can bring my faith into my classroom. Getting to share values and beliefs with students helps me feel more connected to each child. Being a Catholic School teacher helped me when I experienced the loss of parents, knowing that those in the community were praying for me and my family. I also pray for my students and their families when they have also expericed loss and struggle in their lives. I can't imagine not teaching in a Catholic School.
Outside interests and passions
I love shopping for bargains at thrift stores. I love my dogs, my family, and sharing a cup of coffee with friends.
